As I listen to My Coming Day, the Inpop debut from Julian Drive, my feelings have been wavering on what I really think about it. The band does not break any new ground via their sound, but at the same time the music is solid and well crafted. I find that occasionally the tempo becomes contagious, but it does not carry through the entire project. Sadly, one of the better tracks is a remake of “Reason” (Hoobastank) and not an original from the band. However, I do find the message of the bands originals to be uplifting and gospel focused. Overall the album may just be too average for me to really get behind it, while at the same time it is good enough for me to recommend gospel-rock enthusiast to check it out further.
