This is the second EP from worship artist Dan Macaulay, the first, Captured Again, was a respectable offering of praise and worship. The new EP, The Listening, gives us a new look at where Dan is going musically. The lead track, “Win With Love” has a very aggressive soundtrack and it fits in well with current worship flowing through the radio waves and church pews presently.
The new EP is actually shorter than his original EP, but it is more of a contemporary sounding recording. Included on the new EP is a remake of “Amazing” which I believe Dan originally penned back in 1996. The new sound gives the song a more contemporary feeling. The title track appears twice on the new EP. One is a shorter radio edit while the full-length “The Listening” runs nearly seven minutes long.
While the first EP had more songs and value extras like chord charts, the new EP is a fresher view of where Dan stands currently. His website is also up to date and full of information and sounds for you to sample and discover. Visit http://www.danmacaulay.com for more information.
