“A Greater Yes” is a story about Amy Newhouse and her incredible journey, as she was diagnosed with cancer at a young age. The story reaches plenty of highs and lows and it shows how people’s faith is shaken and how it can be strengthened as well. The most inspirational part of the video is that Amy herself stayed positive and was always an encouragement to others despite her condition and the tragic outcome of the battle.
Pure Flix Entertainment a relatively new company is releasing the movie. The company has already released a handful of other quality faith-based movies. In this case the directing, production and acting are all well done. I liked the occasional journalistic dialog from Amy and it helped immensely with the transitions from scene to scene when things were changing so fast in her life. The quality of the video was a plus and very worthy of such a story.
The story itself is the real heart of the DVD and it was portrayed in a meaningful way though this drama. Often our faith is challenged and how we respond is very important. This video shows how that struggle is played out in real life and sadly, many people failed to be as strong as Amy herself. It is a good story that addresses how we feel about answered prayers, because in this case many of their prayers were not answered as the people had hoped.
