Undisguised
INO Records
Grade – B
“Undisguised” is Anthony Evans’ fifth studio release, counting the 2009 Christmas album “What Christmas Means.” I would say that Evans tends to fall in the male vocalist and inspirational genre. The songs on “Undisguised” really do hinge on his vocal abilities and the song selection is uplifting and encouraging.
My favorite track is “Rejoice” featuring Kari Jobe. I also like the sweet piano intro and the message of “All That Matters.” This is a worshipful Christ-centered song that the listener can easily relate to. Evans also does a respectable and distinctive remake of “Mighty to Save.”
Anthony Evans is a solid choice for the genre. Aside from being a powerful vocalist, Evans also co-wrote on many of the songs and that makes the project much more personal and worth looking into.
