David Ian
David Ian may not be a readily recognizable name at first, but fans of Christian rockers Superchick will know him as Dave Ghazarian, the longtime Superchick guitarist. As the title suggests this Christmas offering is extremely traditional and has a cool jazz soundtrack.
The new CD features the vocals Acacia and Andre Miguel Mayo along the backdrop of traditional arrangements. Ian states that the classic jazz albums of the 50’s and the more familiar Charlie Brown Christmas tones inspired the arrangements.
Personally, I am a huge fan of the vintage soundtrack and anything that reflects the sounds and feelings of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” I find the relaxed and airy sounds to be calming and heartwarming. “Vintage Christmas” is destined to become one of my favorites for the season.
