Revealed is a collection of short stories, poems, and essays that deal with a multitude of worldly issues in a spiritual format. Authors/Editors Clare and Ingram draw from experiences in their own lives and reflect upon issues like appearance, finances, relationships, and transformation. The book also features work from a variety of other Christian women including Luci Shaw, Heather Harpham Kopp, Elyse Larson, Melody Carlson, Vinita Hampton Wright, and more.

Revealed is organized in a makeover type fashion as if it were a reality TV show. Each chapter has a main point that is then addressed with several short devotional type writings. Many of the chapters are closed with a reflection or application drawn from the text. The book is laid out from beginning to end with precision guidance for a spiritual makeover. However, this is the kind of book you can leave on the night stand or coffee table, and take a step back from whatever your worries may be to find an uplifting devotional.

As a compilation of daily devotionals, I’m extremely impressed with the variety of works that Clare and Ingram have put together. Revealed is a timely book that assails a worldly epidemic of vain makeovers and offers a more spiritual, longer-lasting makeover.
