Making Peace is the second book authored by this particular pair (See Revealed). This book deals with the hard issues that come with loving a God that we do not sometimes understand. There are many questions that start with “why” that tends to get in our way of truly loving God. Clare and Johnson take a hard look at those questions, and share very personal stories of their own struggles and final submission.

In regards to their style of writing, each chapter begins with a dialog between the two, and then each of them takes a turn giving a testimony so to speak as they discuss individual attributes of God. I think the main thrust of the book can be found in one of the earlier chapters when their dialog states, “So God is dangerous because God is love.”

In summation, the book is about exploring God and His loving nature, seeking Him honestly and openly, and finally, basking in His glory. As with their first book, I believe that their style of writing is most suited for women, however, there is still a value in the book for men as well.
