TOMS RIVER, New Jersey (July 24, 2015) –Dynamic new pop/rock band Above The Fall will take the stage at Vine Fest 2015, opening for

American Idol finalist Colton Dixon. Above the Fall will perform music from their new EP, Rise & Fall, at the event.

The music festival, which is being held at Calvary Chapel Vineland, 4630 Mays Landing Road, Vineland, N.J. 08361, is set to kick off at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015. In addition to Above the Fall and Colton Dixon, this year’s Vine Fest lineup includes performances by Dez Childs, Dawson Coyle, Beckoning, Dana Isles & Facedown and The Calvary Chapel Vineland Worship Team.

“We are so pumped to be a part of the lineup for Vine Fest 2015,” declares lead guitarist Zach MacGorman. “We are excited to be sharing the stage with ColtonDixon and so many other great artists. We are looking forward to having a stellar night, and we hope our songs will be a blessing to everyone who attends!”
Known for their energetic and creative live shows, Above The Fall called on Grammy and Dove Award nominated producer Billy Smiley to help capture that energy on their debut EP, Rise & Fall. The result is a six-song power pop/rock confection that dares listeners to stay in their seats.

Rise & Fall released April 28, 2015 from Cul de Sac Records. The project, which is distributed by Elevate Entertainment, kicks off with the band’s rambunctious debut radio single, “Hands in the Air,” then cranks up the intensity even more on the decidedly rock anthem, “Brace for Impact.” Above the Fall pulls back for a more intimate and introspective tune with “Best of Me,” but jumps back to their rock ‘n’ roll roots on “Moving On.” The title track segues effortlessly into the EP’s closer, “Another Yesterday,” revealing a band that is equally at home playing plaintive, confessional worship music or peace evoking acoustic ballads as they are playing high energy rock songs.

Whether rocking the house or pulling back for more intimate musical moments, Above the Fall gives fans a reason to celebrate by infusing their debut EP with the same dynamic energy that fuels their live shows.

SWITCHFOOT PARTNERS WITH LAS VEGAS’ SOS RADIO AND CITY IMPACT CENTER TO PERFORM VOLUNTEER WORK ON CITY IMPACT’S URBAN GARDEN

SWITCHFOOT PARTNERS WITH LAS VEGAS’ SOS RADIO AND CITY IMPACT CENTER TO PERFORM VOLUNTEER WORK ON CITY IMPACT’S URBAN GARDEN

Nashville, Tenn. – (July 23, 2015) – Members of GRAMMY® and Dove Award-winning Switchfoot recently traded their instruments for gardening tools while volunteering their time at Las Vegas non-profit, City Impact Center. The band worked alongside SOS Radio listeners to weed, beautify and replant several garden beds in City Impact Center’s Urban Garden. The Urban Garden is used to teach students how to plant, grow and harvest fruit & vegetables while also teaching economic skills.

Switchfoot has always cared about bringing hope to your family and neighborhood, and when the opportunity to partner with SOS Radio in Las Vegas came up to make a difference in the community, the band did not hesitate. The band’s song – “The World You Want” (listen to the audio on YouTube here / download “The World You Want” here) – from Switchfoot’s most recent album, Fading West, inspires all of us to see the everyday opportunities in our own home and our own neighborhoods. Like the lyrics say, “You change the world, every day you’re alive.”

The effort was a perfect example of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman’s Faith Initiative Program that kicked off in 2012. The goal of this initiative is to empower change in the city of Las Vegas through volunteers and faith based groups to accomplish great things in the city by working together. Local ABC News Channel 13 correspondent Beth Fisher was on site to cover the story which was featured as part of their ongoing Positively Las Vegas series. See the story here.

Switchfoot later took the stage for the Friday, July 9 tour date to a sellout crowd at Mandalay Bay as they tour the country alongside NEEDTOBREATHE, Drew Holcomb and Colony House as part of Tour de Compadres.

SHAE SHOC RECORDS PREPARES TO UNVEIL FIRST CHILDREN’S ALBUM

SHAE SHOC RECORDS PREPARES TO UNVEIL FIRST CHILDREN’S ALBUM, Fun Size, Vol. 1 BY SCRIPTURE SNACK KIDS
TO DEBUT JULY 31, 2015
Daughters to Critically Acclaimed Artist Beckah Shae, Grace & Joy Put Bible Verses in the Form of Song To Help Kids Memorize Scripture

Nashville, Tenn. (July 14, 2015) –This summer, Shae Shoc Records will release its first children’s album by Scripture Snack Kids titled Fun Size, Vol. 1 on July 31, 2015. Aimed to help kids memorize Bible scripture, the 20-track album features the vocal talents of Grace (6) & Joy (8), daughters to Dove Award Nominee Beckah Shae and famed producer Jack Shocklee.

Stemming from Shae Shoc Records’ previous Scripture Snack albums, which featured Beckah, the proud parents wanted to ignite their daughters’ gifts, while helping other kids their age grow in their relationship with God.

Scripture Snacks fills the gap by memorizing scriptures in the form of a song. Fun Size, Vol. 1 by Scripture Snacks Kids is an a cappella album, consisting of kids vocals along with critically acclaimed singer Beckah Shae and producer Jack Shocklee’s (tobyMac, Group 1 Crew, Montell Jordan) spin on pop driven melodies and low bass vocal percussion.  With 10 tracks breaking down various scriptures from “The Ten Commandments” to “Fruits of the Spirit”, the project also includes instrumental karaoke tracks to each song to put listeners memorization skills to the test.

“Our great privilege as parents is to encourage them to walk in truth and to leave a legacy of faith,” shares Beckah. “We wanted to teach our children that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and we know that it is necessary in the growing of their faith to hear the Word of God, to not just hide it in their hearts but to share it with the world!”

Fun Size, Vol. 1 will be available on iTunes ®, Amazon and other digital platforms and in select Christian retailers throughout the nation.

ABOUT GOTEE RECORDS
In 1992, a production team of three talented guys with diverse tastes shared a love for music. Producers Joey Elwood and Todd Collins, along with Grammy-winning artist TobyMac, launched Gotee Records in 1994 after unsuccessfully finding a label deal for the R&B trio, Out of Eden. With a steady focus on artistry, the new label expanded to reflect the diverse interests of its founders. Within 12 months, Christafari, GRITS, and Johnny Q. Public were signed, easily representing four different music categories; R&B, reggae, rap and rock. In the 20 years since Gotee’s founding as a record label, it has launched the careers of Relient K, Jennifer Knapp, Sonicflood and more recently, Jamie Grace, Capital Kings, Finding Favour, Ryan Stevenson and Morgan Harper Nichols. The present day in the Gotee story is much like the label’s early days. Through all the changes in a tumultuous music industry, the boutique label’s independent spirit is maintained through a steady focus on artist development and diversity.

PHIL JOEL’S ZEALAND WORSHIP SIGNS WITH WORD WORSHIP

Former Newsboys bassist and bandmates release EP to Spotify, tour this summer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (July 1, 2015) – Word Entertainment is proud to welcome Phil Joel and his band Zealand Worship as the newest signee to Word Worship.

Hear Zealand Worship’s new self-titled EP on Spotify now for the first recorded output from a band that’s been on a mission to fire up the faithful.

“For the last several years, we’ve been leading worship and ministering under the radar wherever and to whomever we’ve felt led, so to finally get some of our music recorded and out there feels really, really great,” Phil said. “These songs were written to inspire and stir the hearts of a generation. We want to see people come alive and get passionate and zealous about the Lord and the life He has for each of us.”

“We are thrilled to partner with dear friend and industry mainstay Phil Joel to help spread the music and mission of Zealand Worship into homes and churches across the world,” said Rod Riley, President and CEO of Word Entertainment.

After leaving the multiplatinum group Newboys, Phil was invited by organizations and churches to lead worship for their various conferences and events. Over time, he began to see a plan unfold in front of him along with a fresh desire to see people truly connect with the Lord in a passionate, authentic way. He and his bandmates, guitarist Ben Garrett, drummer Ben Bugna, guitarist and keyboardist Justin Wantz and bassist Corey Horn, have simply been letting God lead them, and the result is Zealand Worship. They want to become part of a fire-starter movement and don’t plan to measure their success by records, tickets sold or by a collection of “fans,” but rather by being true to the message they feel God has put in their hearts to deliver.

“The powerful drive, both musically and spiritually, is palpable in Zealand Worship’s music,” said Jeremy Armstrong, managing editor of Worship Leader Media. “With a depth of understanding found in their lyrical breadth set to singable guitar rock, it’s easy to believe that Zealand Worship is going to serve worshipers across the globe.”

For those wanting to come see them live, Zealand Worship will be playing select dates over the summer, including four National Worship Leaders Conferences.

SANCTUS REAL’S MATT HAMMITT ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE FROM BAND

Band to Launch “Farewell To A Friend Tour”
and
Release Greatest Hits Project This Fall

Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2015) – After a 20 year history together, GRAMMY nominations, Dove Awards, seven albums and six No. 1 singles, Matt Hammitt, the lead singer of Sanctus Real, has announced he will be leaving the band this December. Both Matt and his fellow band members have taken time to draft personal statements so that their fans can hear from them first hand and in their own words.
The band has announced their “Farewell To A Friend” tour this fall, which will be Hammitt’s final tour with the band. Sparrow Records will release a Greatest Hits project from Sanctus Real this October, featuring the band’s top hits over their 20 year career and a new single, which will release in the fall as well.

Matt Hammitt (read statement in full here):
There isn’t nearly enough space to recount or describe what I’ve experienced with my friends in Sanctus Real over the past twenty years. I’m so grateful for what God has allowed a few guys from Toledo, Ohio to experience together. I don’t take it lightly, the ability that songs have to impact the hearts and lives of those who hear them. Experiencing this God-given mystery with my friends in the band has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
I want to thank my band mates, current and former, but especially Mark and Chris for allowing me to share in this incredible season of life with them. And of course, to our families, you are the backbone God has blessed us with. Thank you for holding down the fort. I love and appreciate you.
Over the past few months, I’ve felt the Lord calling me into a new mission field, into a new season of life. If you want to hear the intricate details about my decision to leave Sanctus Real, I’ve discussed it at length in the first two episodes of my new podcast “The Lead Me Lifecast.” I open each episode by saying that, “I’ve been traveling far and wide singing the song ‘Lead Me’, but now I want to sing it less and live it more.” I mean that genuinely, with all of my heart. I’ve always struggled to reconcile my life on the road away from Sarah and the kids, but after all these years I’m now confident that my calling is to be at home more, consistently making God and family my ultimate priority. My primary gifting as a communicator is simply sharing my life and heart with people, and they’re going to get the best of that.
Your support has meant so much to me, and I’m inviting you to join my mission moving forward  – click here to read more about this decision and how you can join me.
– Matt
Chris Rohman also wanted to share thoughts on behalf of he and the rest of the band on Matt’s departure and the future of Sanctus Real (read statement in full here);
Many incredible people have given their talents to this band and without their support and sacrifice we would never have made it out of my parent’s basement, out of Ohio, or maybe more importantly to me, out of my own head. You see to have a dream requires a belief that you can achieve something bigger than anything you could hope for by yourself. And for Mark and I we could have never had this dream of Sanctus Real without Matt. We were three wide-eyed kids with hopes of blazing a trail and reaching people with the Gospel when we signed a record deal fourteen years ago. And now we’re three men blessed to see the impact all these years of writing songs and traveling the country have made. We’re husbands and fathers with a responsibility to sow into our families the same love and faith that caused us to come together as a band of believers in the first place.
It is with this responsibility in mind that Matt first came to us distressed by the balance of life lived out on the road and a life being played out at home while being gone. For each of us this balance has been a delicate lesson to learn over years of touring and countless goodbyes to our loved ones. Add to this the fact that Matt and his wife Sarah have a son with congenital heart disease and the balance can become nearly impossible.
So you can imagine after almost 20 years of experiencing God move within our tight-knit little world how difficult it might be to watch one of us being called out of it.  And after many deep conversations, though I know this conclusion did not come easy, all of us as brothers feel it is the right decision for Matt and his family.
As for the rest of the band… This is a time for us to ask you to pray for us. We have a passion to use the platform of Sanctus Real to write new music that will continue to influence not just the church world, but reach well beyond anything we could imagine and offer hope to the lost and weary wherever they are. Some may say it’s just music. But to me it couldn’t be anything more. Music filled with the Holy Spirit speaks to my soul, it’s what moves me and it’s a gift God uses to bring incredible life-change to those that hear it.
– Chris

Holly Spears Releases Music Video for “Who Said” from Upcoming Faith-Based Film, “Nail 32″

Spears makes her acting debut in “Nail 32,” which also includes songs from her first country EP, “Boots and Bling” – available now at iTunes.

(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) — Singer-songwriter Holly Spears has released a music video for the song, “Who Said,” from the upcoming faith-based film, Nail 32, in which she also co-stars. In addition to the movie, the song can be found on Spears’ first country EP, Boots and Bling, which is available now at iTunes and www.hollyspears.com. The 8-song EP from Girl on a Mission Music is the follow-up to her 2014 Christian music EP, Audience of One.

Watch the “Who Said” video: http://youtu.be/nIL8EhufbOM

The “Who Said” music video was produced by True Artists Studio, LLC, and filmed on location in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

In Nail 32, Spears plays a Nashville country singer who goes back to Texas to spend time with her family in a time of need. Her father, played by Brad Johnson (Always, Left Behind), is a legend not only in the Cowboy world, but in the Christian world as well. As a young man he was told he couldn’t be a cowboy and a Christian at the same time, so he sold his saddle and laid down the rodeo life. As he matures he finds out that he can be both and that God wants to use him just the way he is.

Nail 32, from JC FIlms and Flying T Entertainment, also stars Lea Penick (A&E’s American Hoggers), newcomer Shelton Murphy, and some well-known Texan Cowboy heroes. In addition to the song “Who Said,” the film includes four additional songs from Spears.

Spears will be touring with the film to different churches across the USA, screening the movie, performing songs from the film and meeting with fans. Visit www.nail32.com for more information on how to bring this Christian film to your church for a movie night.

The Red Carpet Premiere for Nail 32 will take place on July 26 in Cleburne, Texas. Tickets are available at www.nail32.com.
