ABOVE THE FALL TO JOIN AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST COLTON DIXON AT VINE FEST 2015
Emerging Pop/Rock Band Encourages a New Generation of Believers
At New Jersey Music Festival |
TOMS RIVER, New Jersey (July 24, 2015) –Dynamic new pop/rock band Above The Fall will take the stage at Vine Fest 2015, opening for
American Idol finalist Colton Dixon. Above the Fall will perform music from their new EP, Rise & Fall, at the event.
The music festival, which is being held at Calvary Chapel Vineland, 4630 Mays Landing Road, Vineland, N.J. 08361, is set to kick off at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015. In addition to Above the Fall and Colton Dixon, this year’s Vine Fest lineup includes performances by Dez Childs, Dawson Coyle, Beckoning, Dana Isles & Facedown and The Calvary Chapel Vineland Worship Team. “We are so pumped to be a part of the lineup for Vine Fest 2015,” declares lead guitarist Zach MacGorman. “We are excited to be sharing the stage with ColtonDixon and so many other great artists. We are looking forward to having a stellar night, and we hope our songs will be a blessing to everyone who attends!”
Known for their energetic and creative live shows, Above The Fall called on Grammy and Dove Award nominated producer Billy Smiley to help capture that energy on their debut EP, Rise & Fall. The result is a six-song power pop/rock confection that dares listeners to stay in their seats.
Rise & Fall released April 28, 2015 from Cul de Sac Records. The project, which is distributed by Elevate Entertainment, kicks off with the band’s rambunctious debut radio single, “Hands in the Air,” then cranks up the intensity even more on the decidedly rock anthem, “Brace for Impact.” Above the Fall pulls back for a more intimate and introspective tune with “Best of Me,” but jumps back to their rock ‘n’ roll roots on “Moving On.” The title track segues effortlessly into the EP’s closer, “Another Yesterday,” revealing a band that is equally at home playing plaintive, confessional worship music or peace evoking acoustic ballads as they are playing high energy rock songs.
Whether rocking the house or pulling back for more intimate musical moments, Above the Fall gives fans a reason to celebrate by infusing their debut EP with the same dynamic energy that fuels their live shows.

SWITCHFOOT PARTNERS WITH LAS VEGAS’ SOS RADIO AND CITY IMPACT CENTER TO PERFORM VOLUNTEER WORK ON CITY IMPACT’S URBAN GARDEN

SWITCHFOOT PARTNERS WITH LAS VEGAS’ SOS RADIO AND CITY IMPACT CENTER TO PERFORM VOLUNTEER WORK ON CITY IMPACT’S URBAN GARDEN
Nashville, Tenn. – (July 23, 2015) – Members of GRAMMY® and Dove Award-winning Switchfoot recently traded their instruments for gardening tools while volunteering their time at Las Vegas non-profit, City Impact Center. The band worked alongside SOS Radio listeners to weed, beautify and replant several garden beds in City Impact Center’s Urban Garden. The Urban Garden is used to teach students how to plant, grow and harvest fruit & vegetables while also teaching economic skills.
Switchfoot has always cared about bringing hope to your family and neighborhood, and when the opportunity to partner with SOS Radio in Las Vegas came up to make a difference in the community, the band did not hesitate. The band’s song – “The World You Want” (listen to the audio on YouTube here / download “The World You Want” here) – from Switchfoot’s most recent album, Fading West, inspires all of us to see the everyday opportunities in our own home and our own neighborhoods. Like the lyrics say, “You change the world, every day you’re alive.”
The effort was a perfect example of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman’s Faith Initiative Program that kicked off in 2012. The goal of this initiative is to empower change in the city of Las Vegas through volunteers and faith based groups to accomplish great things in the city by working together. Local ABC News Channel 13 correspondent Beth Fisher was on site to cover the story which was featured as part of their ongoing Positively Las Vegas series. See the story here.
Switchfoot later took the stage for the Friday, July 9 tour date to a sellout crowd at Mandalay Bay as they tour the country alongside NEEDTOBREATHE, Drew Holcomb and Colony House as part of Tour de Compadres.

PHIL JOEL’S ZEALAND WORSHIP SIGNS WITH WORD WORSHIP
Jul 4, 2015 Artist Updates
Former Newsboys bassist and bandmates release EP to Spotify, tour this summer
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (July 1, 2015) – Word Entertainment is proud to welcome Phil Joel and his band Zealand Worship as the newest signee to Word Worship.
Hear Zealand Worship’s new self-titled EP on Spotify now for the first recorded output from a band that’s been on a mission to fire up the faithful.
“For the last several years, we’ve been leading worship and ministering under the radar wherever and to whomever we’ve felt led, so to finally get some of our music recorded and out there feels really, really great,” Phil said. “These songs were written to inspire and stir the hearts of a generation. We want to see people come alive and get passionate and zealous about the Lord and the life He has for each of us.”
“We are thrilled to partner with dear friend and industry mainstay Phil Joel to help spread the music and mission of Zealand Worship into homes and churches across the world,” said Rod Riley, President and CEO of Word Entertainment.
After leaving the multiplatinum group Newboys, Phil was invited by organizations and churches to lead worship for their various conferences and events. Over time, he began to see a plan unfold in front of him along with a fresh desire to see people truly connect with the Lord in a passionate, authentic way. He and his bandmates, guitarist Ben Garrett, drummer Ben Bugna, guitarist and keyboardist Justin Wantz and bassist Corey Horn, have simply been letting God lead them, and the result is Zealand Worship. They want to become part of a fire-starter movement and don’t plan to measure their success by records, tickets sold or by a collection of “fans,” but rather by being true to the message they feel God has put in their hearts to deliver.
“The powerful drive, both musically and spiritually, is palpable in Zealand Worship’s music,” said Jeremy Armstrong, managing editor of Worship Leader Media. “With a depth of understanding found in their lyrical breadth set to singable guitar rock, it’s easy to believe that Zealand Worship is going to serve worshipers across the globe.”
For those wanting to come see them live, Zealand Worship will be playing select dates over the summer, including four National Worship Leaders Conferences.

Holly Spears Releases Music Video for Who Said from Upcoming Faith-Based Film, Nail 32″
Jul 4, 2015 Artist Updates
Spears makes her acting debut in Nail 32, which also includes songs from her first country EP, Boots and Bling – available now at iTunes.
Watch the Who Said video: http://youtu.be/nIL8EhufbOM
The Who Said music video was produced by True Artists Studio, LLC, and filmed on location in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky.
In Nail 32, Spears plays a Nashville country singer who goes back to Texas to spend time with her family in a time of need. Her father, played by Brad Johnson (Always, Left Behind), is a legend not only in the Cowboy world, but in the Christian world as well. As a young man he was told he couldn’t be a cowboy and a Christian at the same time, so he sold his saddle and laid down the rodeo life. As he matures he finds out that he can be both and that God wants to use him just the way he is.
Nail 32, from JC FIlms and Flying T Entertainment, also stars Lea Penick (A&Es American Hoggers), newcomer Shelton Murphy, and some well-known Texan Cowboy heroes. In addition to the song Who Said, the film includes four additional songs from Spears.
Spears will be touring with the film to different churches across the USA, screening the movie, performing songs from the film and meeting with fans. Visit www.nail32.com for more information on how to bring this Christian film to your church for a movie night.
The Red Carpet Premiere for Nail 32 will take place on July 26 in Cleburne, Texas. Tickets are available at www.nail32.com.
