RAGAMUFFIN RELEASES EXCLUSIVELY ON DVD IN WALMART RETAIL STORES MAY 6, 2014

DVD hits CBA Retail on July 8 through Capitol Christian Distribution

Nationwide Movie Tour continues through May 2014

Los Angeles, Calif. (April 2, 2014) – The Ragamuffin film, based on the life and legacy of best-selling Christian music singer/songwriter Rich Mullins, is set to release on DVD May 6, 2014.  The Color Green Films full-length feature will release first exclusively in Walmart retail stores through Millennium Entertainment followed by a nationwide CBA retail release on July 8 through Capitol Christian Distribution.

In conjunction with the DVD release, the Ragamuffin Movie Tour launched earlier this year and is currently screening the film across the nation.  Debuting to a sold-out house at the Orpheum Theatre in January, the tour will run through May 2014 hosting screenings in small venues – churches, college campuses, community theaters, etc. You can find a theater near you where the film is screening by going to: www.itickets.com/ragamuffin

Produced by Color Green Films, Ragamuffin stars Michael Koch as Rich Mullins. The film is written by Ashleigh Phillips and David Leo Schultz and is produced and directed by Schultz. Additional producers include David Mullins (Rich’s younger brother), David Holechek and Ryan Bodie. Ragamuffin showcases several members of the Mullins’ family and features the talents of Schultz (as Sam); Wolfgang Bodison (Bryan); James Kyson (Matt); Mel Fair (John Mullins); Carson Aune (Justin); Elizabeth Ann Roberts (Jess) and Michelle Keller (Neva Mullins). The film’s title comes from A Ragamuffin Band, a band name that was inspired by Brennan Manning’s book, “The Ragamuffin Gospel.”

“Ragamuffin is a stirring film that will touch audiences and challenge them to consider what is most important in their own lives,” says Schultz. “The movie’s heartfelt themes include redemption, forgiveness, faith, and the true meaning of God’s unconditional love.”

Mullins, who died in a 1997 accident at the age of 41, grew up in Indiana, the son of a tree farmer father and Quaker mother. He performed with a touring Christian music group in his teens, and then attended Cincinnati Bible College from 1974 to 1978. Moving to Nashville in the 1980s, Mullins wrote songs for Amy Grant, Debby Boone and other notable Christian artists and recorded nine solo projects with Reunion Records. He was nominated for twelve Gospel Music Association Dove Awards throughout his career, and had many #1 radio hits. His church standard, “Awesome God,” was voted in 1989 as one of the top three songs of the decade according to the Christian Research Report.

“The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Schultz. “God is using this film to touch lives, which is what we wanted to do in the first place.”

IESODO

 “FAITH” RELEASING MARCH 18th

A beautifully crafted animated series to help teach children “The Way of Jesus”

Los Angeles, California- Iesodo (YAY-sa-doe) is a highly acclaimed Telly and Accolade Award winning series featuring a cast of animated birds who live in a Cypress Tree on the shores of Galilee.  Presented with cutting edge imagery, Iesodo, which means “The way of Jesus”, is a wise and gentle dove that gives an allegory to the stories and messages of Jesus with “solid biblical teaching.” (American Family Journal). With each and every story, he and his lovable feathered friends “present the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a winsome, compelling way” through music and adventure (MovieGuide.org).

Zaya Toonz and Rollman Entertainment, the animation companies behind Iesodo, assembled a collaboration of experts with experience in both the children’s and Christian markets.

“Children learn and sometimes even emulate the actions and personalities of loveable animated characters such as Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse, and we want them to do the same with Iesodo,” said executive producers Jared and Natalie Hankins. “The Iesodo character is a representation of Jesus, and the stories shared throughout each episode are based on Jesus’ teachings.  They are universal principles we hope all parents wants to instill in their children, such as loving one another, conquering fear, sharing and being kind.”

Directors for the series include Brian E. Ray whose credits consist of Muppet Babies, My Little Pony Tales and Ed, Ed, and Eddy, as well as Colin Brady, whose credits include Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and A Bug’s Life. Brady also served as the former animation supervisor for Pixar Animation Studios. Producer Eric S. Rollman, President/CEO of Rollman Entertainment, formerly served as President of Production for Fox Kids and Marvel, and writer/producer Rob Loos is an Emmy Nominee and writer/producer for McGee and Me! Christmas Lamb, Kids 10 Commandments and Touched by an Angel. The Iesodo series also features the voice of Erin Bethea (Fireproof, Amazing Love) as Maggie.

Capitol Christian Distribution, the market leader in Christian and Gospel music distribution, as well as chart topping Christian films and books, distributes the Iesodo DVD series, which can be purchased at Christian retail stores, Walmart and Amazon.com. WORD FILMS SET TO RELEASE INSPIRATIONAL FILM “LET GOD” ON DVD ON FEBRUARY 25

Breckenridge Film Festival 2013 “Best Feature” and “Best Actress” Winner

Follows One Woman’s Struggle with Faith

in the Face of Survival and the Battle Against Time

Nashville, TN - (January 15, 2014) –Word Films is set to release Breckenridge Film Festival’s 2013 “Best Feature” and “Best Actress” winner “Let God” on DVD on February 25. The faith-based film  follows  the story of young housewife, Amelia, who heads west with her husband during the 19th century gold rush and is left alone without resources in the harsh wilderness when her husband is killed in a savage attack. Battling winter, hunger and the unknown, Amelia must take life into her own hands as she struggles with a loss of faith and battles for her survival.

“There’s a gap between ritual and faith, and we explore that,” said “Let God” writer/director/producer William Parker. “The character of Amelia is very ritual oriented – she goes to church, she read the Bible…but through the movie she kind of gives up on it. Amelia struggles with loss of faith, feeling she’s been abandoned by God and is completely on her own.”  “In the end, she realizes that not only does she actually find her faith, she actually really believes, genuinely, ‘This is what I was looking for,’” adds Jasmin Jandreau who plays Amelia. “She realizes, through another connection in the film that comes along, that God was with her the whole time, and God was communicating with her the whole time.”

In addition to winning both “Best Feature” and “Best Actress” honors at the 2013 Breckenridge Film Festival, “Let God” was also an official selection at the 2013 Gideon Film Festival and has earned the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for any age. “This is a terrific Story!” said the Dove Foundation. “The writer/director and leading actress Jasmine Jandreau, as Amelia, somehow manage to make this story of survival a powerful movie about trials and a faith that overcomes all odds…You will enjoy watching this one. Don’t miss it!”

Peter Fonda, Logan Bartholomew, Drew Waters and David Mann join original cast members in combination sequel and prequel to  The Ultimate Gift

LOS ANGELES, Calif., April 8, 2013—Reelworks Studios CEO Rick Eldridge announced that principal photography has wrapped on THE ULTIMATE LIFE.  Golden Globe® winner Peter Fonda (Ulee’s Gold), Logan Bartholomew (Love’s Enduring Promise) and David Mann (Meet The Browns) join original cast members Bill Cobbs, Lee Meriwether and Ali Hillis in this sequel based on the best-selling books by Jim Stovall.

Michael Landon, Jr. (Saving Sarah Cain, Loves Comes Softly), directed the shoot in and around the Winston-Salem, NC area.  The film was produced by Executive Producer Rick Eldridge (The Ultimate Gift, Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius) and Producer David Kappes (Jaws 3-D).  The screenplay was developed by Brian Bird (“Touched By An Angel”), Cheryl McKay (The Ultimate Gift), with Lisa G. Shillingburg.   THE ULTIMATE LIFE will be distributed nationally in theaters on September 6th, 2013. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment secured home entertainment distribution rights and has sold 2 million units of the first film The Ultimate Gift.

According to Executive Producer Rick Eldridge, “THE ULTIMATE LIFE is an emotional, endearing family film and an instant classic that will be embraced by audiences who loved the first film, while attracting new viewers to the story. There is huge multi-generational appeal since the film is both a sequel and a prequel.”

Multiple generations of talent combine to tell the story of Red from a young boy in the 1940s through an older man over the years, including stand-out Drew Waters (Friday Night Lights) who plays young adult Red. Waters credits director Landon with creating a special dynamic on-set. “My approach to acting is to wrap an emotional and physical structure around my character that I can relate to…Michael is a director who helps that happen and as a result captures unique, emotional and authentic performances.”

Building on the successful 2007 theatrical release The Ultimate Gift in which Jason Stevens (Logan Bartholomew) inherits a two billion dollar trust from his grandfather, Red (James Garner), THE ULTIMATE LIFE begins three years after Jason receives the gift.  We discover the ensuing years have been challenging for Jason and his girlfriend Alexia.  When his extended family files suit against him, Jason is left reeling until his lawyer and confidant Hamilton, shares Red’s journal with Jason.  Reading the journal takes Jason (and moviegoers) back into Red’s younger days where he meets lifelong friends and discovers the origins of the gifts that would mark Red’s life.  Spanning across generations and time, the question now is:  Is it too late for those lessons to help Jason?

Future press information will be issued jointly by the filmmakers and distributor announcing plans for the theatrical opening.
