Ken - How are things going with the new CD?
Vince - I think things are going pretty well considering were battling a lot of competition. I hate to use that term because I don't really like competition, because we're all in it for the same purpose.
Ken - Can you give me a little background on Jonah 33?
Vince - Basically I was in an old band and I made a CD at Ardent Records in Memphis. Danny Key came forward and heard my voice, and he wanted me to be the front man in this band. He brought me in, signed a deal, and he told me to go out and find a band.
Ken - What kind of process is it to "find" a band?
Vince - It was a horrible process, I never want to go through it again. It was tough because you can't try people out and not tell them what it's for. So anybody that you try out they get their hopes up and you're like 'sorry'. We don't have enough time to get into every single minor detail how the Lord brought everybody together.
Ken - It's working out well?
Vince - Yeah
Ken - What do you see as the future of Jonah 33?
Pete - World wide domination.
Joshua - That's already been done.
Vince - That's Skillet, that's John Cooper. (Lot's of laughs from all the band.)
Vince - We talk about this a lot, but we just want to be obedient. That's the bottom line and the root of what the band is about.
Ken - My wife and I are going to be having a baby in August. If you could name the baby what would you name it?
Vince - Is it a boy or a girl?
Ken - We don't know.
Pete - If it's a boy Isreal.
Vince - Isreal?!
Pete - I love that name.
Vince - Maybe he doesn't though it's his kid.
Ken - But I just asked.
Vince - Oh, so that's acceptable?
Pete - What would you (Vince) name it?
Vince - If you haven't figured it out yet, everything with us is a giant can of worms.
Vince - I like Isreal too...
Joshua - If it's a girl I'm going with Macy.
Vince - I'm going to go with ah... if it's a boy, Brock.
