Day 3

Day 3, for me, started a little slower. Thankfully. I got the morning started with a little bit of the Tammy Borden Band, and the for most of the morning I hung out in the media room. It's cool to rub shoulders with people like Day of Fire, Chris Tomlin (who is single by the way), and it was really cool with Krystal Meyers unexpectedly showed up.

The first rock shows for me were both Day of Fire and Krystal Meyers. They were playing at the same time so I only was able to see parts of each. Krystal rocks a lot harder in concert, compared to her debut CD. Later in the day I went out to catch a few more shows, like The Violet Burning, Salvador, and Audio Adrenaline.

However, the highlight for the evening was Russ Taff. Russ stopped by the media room towards the end of the day, his personality and warmth were real sincere. So, I thought I'd see what this inspirational singer was all about. So while Audio A was rockin on the grandstand I snuck over to the contemporary stage to hear Russ. I have to say, this was the most inspiring point of the whole weekend. Sure, I've seen some good performances, Mute Math, Violet Burning, and Blindside, but Russ Taff was amazing. His show was one of the few times that I really felt like I was here (at Lifest) to worship.

Before I called it quits for the night I stopped to see Last Tuesday (mono -vs- stereo records). They were hammering the pit stage, getting all the young ones riled up before the night was over.

Tomorrow looks like another light day. I'm looking to see Plumb, Fusebox, the Myriad, and maybe Kim Hill. After that, I have to pack it up and head home.

Until then...
