January 2001Transparent LaRue Reunion Records Ten year veterans... oh wait.... LaRue's sophomore release, Transparent, is chock-full of reflective songs written by Phillip and Natalie LaRue. This amazing teen duo sing about their love for Christ and their desire to grow spiritually. They reach out to their generation with "Wake Up", which touches on the apathy of a lost generation. "Jaded" is about a past relationship of Natalie's and demonstrates great maturity, relationships at any age have a deep impact on who we are. "Jaded" implies that even when people drift apart God uses these relationships to mold us. Natalie and Phillip have awesome vocal abilities. The song "Fallen For You" highlights Natalie's intense vocals. "Fallen" is about our relationship with God and the mutual love. For the parents: First of all we are talking about a brother and sister in their late teens getting along. On top of that they sing about loving God. Most importantly these two teens are very dedicated to the family. "Brianna's Song" is an emotional dedication to the LaRue's younger sister who has cerebral palsy. Brianna's courage and vigor for life inspires Natalie and Phillip to know and trust God. If there is any chance at all you can get your kids to a LaRue concert do it. I firmly believe that these two can witness to a generation hurting for "Good" news. -Ken |
