I Wanna Thank You Lyrically drawn from the Bible and targeted at youth that are lost and searching, "I Wanna Thank You" is a moving experience. Although classified as a Gospel group, TS&ST is heavily retro-jazzy and R & B. Lead vocalist Tarra Scotton has a powerful voice that will amaze you. When you mix her R&B sounding vocals with the harmonies of back up vocalists Darla Logan, Caryn Ross, and Tanesha Smith every song is pleasing. Back this up with the superior musicianship of Eric Greene Jr on drums, bassist Norwood Long, Keyboarding duo Reggie Rice and Irvin Washington and you have a sure thing. "Mission Not Impossible" is an instrumental track that showcases their talents. It's important to note that at the time of this recording all of the members of TS & ST were 18 years old or younger, other than Tarra and Darla. Backup vocalist Tanesha (daughter of Tarra) was the youngest member at age twelve. Producer Mark Hafer joins the band on the title track on lead guitar. Hafer adds a "Joe Satriani" like guitar lead that really picks the track up. Most of the lyrics on "I Wanna Thank You" were written together by Eric Greene Sr and Eric Jr. The message of the lyrics is clear and mainly taken from scripture. As is the case with "Time Is Winding Down", which takes the message of Revelations and puts it to song. More band information and purchasing information can be found at www.zopro.com
