You Are So Good To Me You can sum up "You Are So Good To Me" by using a few lines right out of the title track. "You are beautiful my sweet sweet song" Track after track, I was completely amazed by the feelings of adoration. In the liner notes, Don Chaffer, lead vocalist and guitarist, describes Worship in three parts; a gift, a rope, and a bell. In my interpetation the "gift" is the praise and worship that the band gives to God through their lyrics and music. The "rope" is the uplifiting and edifying part of the CD. As is the case with "Rest In You," which speaks of the oportunity we have to surrender our sorrrows and burdens to God. The "bell" is our reminder that our existence is amazing and we should be careful not to forget The Creator when things seem ordinary. When first listening to "You Are So Good To Me", I couldn't help but thinking of relaxing in a candle lit room reflecting on the words. Or sitting around the campfire with Waterdeep doing an unplugged version of many of the songs. Check out www.squiterland.com for more info on Waterdeep! |
