Don't let the word "elegant" mislead you as I did. Before listening to this CD I assumed that it would be worship classics tuned to elevator music. I could not have been more wrong! What producer David Huff has actually done is take ten classics and converted them into easy listening, meditative and reflective songs. With laid back productions, the listener can focus more on the message. Where the more upbeat versions inspire emotional response, "Lord I Lift Your Name On High" is more thought provoking. Perfect for those quite times that we so desperately need. Highlights include; Twila Paris' "We Will Glorify," "Your Love O Lord," written by Mac Powell, Darlene Zschech's "Shout To The Lord," and two Martin Smith greats "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble" and "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever." - Ken |
