A New Voice A New Voice is the album I've been waiting for. Old school rock (I know... cliche) , back to the early days of the likes of Bon Jovi (pre-hair days). The album is simple in nature and not dependant upon digital glossiness of many studio albums these days. Michael Corin can really belt it out with style and a bit of rasp that is distinctive. This is best heard on "Take Me With You", where the soundtrack builds up and is then hammered home by Corin's intense vocals. Corin's talents also go beyond his distinct vocals as he wrote much of the lyrics and music on this project. Anavox translates to "A New Voice," which is what this release amounts to. It's exciting, meaningful, and spiritual. Corin writes from personal experiences in life, including the loss of his Grandmother on "Stranger." A great song that brings comfort when grieving by reminding the listener that as a believer in Christ we will all be joined again in the presence of our almighty God. Other hot hits include "Banner Year," "Spirit Rise,", and "End Of The World." Anavox is young and energetic, playing the local midwest scene relentlessly, sharing a positive message through the gift of music. -Ken W. |
