Slick Shoes

Self Titled
Slick Shoes
Tooth & Nail

"Slick Shoes" plays like GreenDay or Blink 182 with a conscious, with mature lyrics and rapid fire accompaniment. The production of this self titled CD went through some changes, but in the end the band was pleased with the product and the new directions it has taken them. The driving beats and grinding guitars will keep their mosh-pit fans happy and bruised.

There is a little bit of a theme running though the songs that reflect on time slipping by; "Pass Me By," "Friday Night," "I Knew," and "Remember" (all touch on this theme). "Alone" is the big hit and you can check out the video on the Tooth & Nail web site . The song reads like an "on the road missing my girlfriend" song.

Don't expect to find your next Sunday worship song, but instead some clean, life pertinent, fun, rapid-fire punk. The CD is book ended by two very strong songs, beginning with "My Ignorance" a confession of faith and ending with "151" a realization of the comfort of the Word.

The Slick Shoes web site has more on their past releases and band info. Just be sure to type it in right with a .net and not a .com or you may get into something your not expecting.
