Worship Together - www.worshiptogether.com

Worship Together is an overflowing cup when it comes to Praise and Worship resources. By browsing on line at you can download free sheet music, listen to, and download hit songs, read awesome feature stories, find Bible resources and event listings.

Worship Together is also the home of today's premier worship artists and song writers. I've had the pleasure of listening to and reviewing four recent offerings from Worship Together.

Alone

In Christ Alone
Various Artists

"In Christ Alone" pulls together three top notch female artists; Margaret Becker, Maire Brennan, and Joanne Hogg. These three, along with producer Keith Getty, have cooked up ten new Irish Hymns that are creative and inspired. Clear distinct writings about Biblical truths describe the writings. Musically, the Irish influence is heavy and enjoyable ranging from meditative to all out jig. This is a landmark union of artists, but the songs stand on their own merits.

The title track tells it all, "He is my light my strength, my song."

Shout to the North

Shout To The North
Robin Mark

Robin Mark hails from Northern Ireland where he works as a worship leader/songwriter. Two years ago his debut was released in the United States, but this is his first project on the Worship Together lable.

"Shout To The North" was recorded live and has a distinct "mega-church" sound, perfectly fitting atmosphere for such a project. The CD is a mix of traditional songs like "I Will Sing The Wondrous Story," contemporary hits like "Shout To The North," and a handful of new songs like "Revival," "Take Us To The River," and "Jesus, All For Jesus."

Robin Mark is a practiced worship leader and writer; the simplicity of this recording is really its selling point.

Wonderful Cross

The Wonderful Cross
Various Artists

"The Wonderful Cross" is a compilation of leading Praise and Worship hits all built around one theme; the life saving sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

On the compilation you will find "Above All" (Rebecca St. James), "There Is a Redeemer" (Michelle Tumes), "The Wonderful Cross" (Chris Tomlin with Matt Redman), and more. There is also a sneak peak at upcoming worship artist Sarah Sadler on "How Deep The Father's Love For Us."

The title track really brought the project home for me. It's an emotionally driven song, but it also speaks clearly the truth of the crucifixion. Not only does Chris Tomlin spark emotions, he also makes you think about the significance of the greatest sacrifice ever and what is expected of a believer in Christ. These few lines sum it all up; "Love so amazing, so divine. Demands my soul, my life, my all."

Tim Hughes

Here I Am To Worship
Tim Hughes

Tim Hughes debuted last year on Worship Together with "Here I Am To Worship." Hughes direct writing brings you to the core of worship. His songs play like anthems that are easily memorable and sing able for Sunday's praise band. Hughes also rocks it up a bit with "Maker Of All Things" and "Jesus, You Alone", but for the most part the songs have a contemporary praise tone. As is the case with "May The Words Of My Mouth" and "Here I Am To Worship."

Hughes' label debut is an all around gem. If you haven't heard it you may be surprised because you may recognize the songs from Sunday's worship.

Be sure to check out and keep up with these artists and projects. There will surely be more to come!
