Songs Of Israel
Marty Goetz
Tovah

The Tovah label debut from Marty Goetz is the beginning of a Messianic movement to educate people about the messianic beliefs. By definition Messianic Jews are Jews who believe Jesus is the messiah, but they still embrace the Jewish culture.

"Songs of Israel" is a compilation of traditional music that I quickly recognized from movies and TV. Including "Sunrise Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof, the "Theme From Schindler's List," and of course "Hava Nagila." The labels education has already began as I never knew that Hava Nagila translated into Let Us Rejoice. For my eight year old daughter hearing "Hava Nagila" brought back many important elements of the Moses full featured cartoon she has viewed many times.

Tovah's future plans are to begin with Messianic centered music but eventually the label plans to diversify further into the general Christian market.

As a history buff I'm curious about the movement and "Songs of Israel" is a great multi-media learning device that will compliment further reading and study.
