Jade Sholty is a wife, mother of two children, full time media designer, and an "inspired" musical artist. Her love for music goes back to her younger years when unknowingly , a music teacher nearly put an end to Jade's musical dreams by discouraging her musical ambitions.

At a low point in her life when Jade was looking for direction, she felt God nudging her back into the direction of her dreams. Out of divine inspiration she picked up the guitar again and started to write new songs. However she still had a great fear of playing for other people as she worried about rejections. It wasn't until the passing of her father-in-law that she openly shared a song with others as she sang "We'll Meet Again" at his funeral. This was a turning point for Jade as she realized that God's purpose was bigger than any fear she may have of sharing the renewed gift God had given her.

Jade recorded her fist independent release "One Breath At A Time" in Nashville, TN. She shares her music by playing at churches, coffee houses, family and youth events, and at festivals.

After listening to the opening track "Hero" I was anticipating an acoustic rock experience, however that feeling didn't' carry over into the remaining songs. "One Breath" is heavily acoustic, but more adult contemporary and with a bit of country in the vocals. Every once in a while Jade spices it up with tracks like "Inside Out" which has a strong electric guitar melody right from "Every Breath I Take."

Although these two guitar rock songs do much to lift you up, the real edification is in the softer heartfelt songs like "On My Knees" and "We'll Meet Again." Each song speaks to the listener in a personal way about joy, daily challenges, and God's mercy.

Overall, "One Breath At A Time" is very inspirational and uplifting. Jade's warm vocals and sincere lyrics are a great testament to what God can do when we trust in Him. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
