"Illuminate" is borderline modern worship -slash- modern rock. The original songs are not congregational but very much praise and worship. Remakes of "Open The Eyes of My Heart" and "Every Move I Make" are super-hype with rap breaks and hot guitar licks. With lead vocalist Heather King, there is still that slight comparison with No Doubt or Garbage, but not nearly as much as on DW's debut. As far as rock standards go DW's mix of rock, hip-hop, and praise are unique.

DW has been involved in Teen Mania, Acquire the Fire, Youth Encounters, Youth Specialties, and Planet Wisdom Youth Conferences... see a trend here? Having experienced DW live at a local youth event, I can tell you that this is what they were cut out for. The CD is lyrically inviting, musically exciting, and not overly complex for the Pre Jr. High and Jr. High (possibly High School) audience. Not that I would exclude anyone older from their listening audience but the main target is definitely youth.
