Lonely For the Last Time Right to the very core of their name, Seven Places is a ministry driven rock band. Seven Places joins a small crowd of new faces that are returning to the beginnings of Christian rock with a straight forward gospel message and a current rock beat. Musically Seven Places is a rock band with a familiar pop-rock sound, but lyrically the songs on "Lonely For the Last Time" pointedly praise Jesus with adoration. "Lonely For the Last Time" was produced by indie rocker Aaron Sprinkle. Sprinkle's musical influence however is barely heard on the album. That's not to say that this is a bad production. The CD has the energy and authenticity to fair well with the competition, and the main focus is the ministry and not the music. Even though they don't distinguish themselves by a ground breaking sound, they do have an evangelistic back beat that is uncompromising. To finish off the CD Seven Places have included a sermon from Pastor Jon Courson that describes the meaning of their moniker. - Ken W. |
