AptCore2 Version 2 of producer Will Hunt's experimental electronic music hit the stores on October 21st. AptCore2 is pure electronic art, not techno or dance, just electronic art. The CD is his vast canvas. AptCore2 was started in April and production finished around June. Much of the concept of this album was created on a laptop in the back of a tour bus. There doesn't appear to be any high-profile artist this time around and there is no stand-out track like "40" (from the AptCore debut). As I stated in the beginning, AptCore2 is an art, and as such, art is not always appreciated by everyone. By comparison, if you ever walk into a Gap-like store, or a downtown coffee shop and you hear some eclectic music with interlaced rambling, that's what AptCore2 is similar to. I don't consider interlaced Psalms and verses to be rambling, but that's the closest comparison I can describe. Hunt describes the meaning of "apt core" as the soul, which is the core of our being, and which is made sufficient through Christ. AptCore2 is best suited for rhythmic meditation where you can sink into the artistic landscapes created by Hunt. Check out www.aptcore.com for samples of Will Hunt's electronic art. - Ken |
