After the merger of Word Records and Warner Brothers a few of the former artists came up missing from Word's roster. Fortunately, a few of these artist are surfacing again with new labels. Kelly Minter is one of those artists.

Minter's second major label release "Wrestling the Angels" builds on her singer-songwriter persona. With help from producers Margaret Becker and Paul Buono, Minter connects on a more personal level.

As an example, this CD is book-ended by two personal testimonies of Kelly's life. The first song, "My Offering," depicts her desire to go where God leads through the highs and lows. The last song on the CD is "You're Listening," a cry to God, first questioning "why" things happen, then a realization that just knowing that God is listening is enough. Wrestling with life's challenges and finding comfort in God's arms.

With softer tones and a more acoustic sound, "Wrestling the Angels" differs from Kelly's Word debut which had a more guitar-rock sound. The soft tones and more acoustic sound bring the lyrics into the spotlight, overall giving the listener a look inside the daily diary of Kelly Minter.
