The Gathering "The Gathering," the last of the City On A Hill series is by far the best of the series. A fitting end to a powerful and successful collaboration of writers and performers. "The Gathering" is more inspirational-worship than the previous projects which were more modern-worship. The magic of the music comes from the pairing of a variety of artist who blend together seamlessly, like the title track which brings together Caedmon's Call, Dan Haseltine, Bebo Norman, and Sara Groves. Stand out solo tracks include "Holy Is the Lord" by Andrew Peterson, "Come Be Who You Are" by Sara Groves, and "Open Our Eyes Dear Savior" by Ginny Owens. With a softer production "The Gathering" sums up the series with themes of worship, adoration, unity, and love. - Ken W. |
