It's been a long haul, but veteran singer-songwriter Amy Grant at long last has released "Simple Things."

Writing for "Simple Things" began almost three years ago. Much of the turmoil and even some of the good things that have happened in her life since then, have caused certain delays here and there, pushing back the release date time after time.

So, now that it's here you can expect a more adult-contemporary Amy, with stronger more personal lyrics centered on life, love, and reconciliation. There are a few songs though that go beyond the AC tones and get a little more pop-ish like the title track.

Over all it's a venerable offering that many inspired fans have waited a long time for.
