The rising popularity of hip-hop is definitely a plus for Dj Maj. Thinking back to his last mixtape CD, I can remember not being as familiar with the artists he was mixing up. Now being more familiar with the likes of Grits, Verbs, John Reuben, and Kirk Franklin, I find that I can enjoy the Maj's mixes all the more.

Best of all is the title track where Dj Maj is joined by Lisa Kimmey (Out of Eden). The title track also sings out the overall message of the CD, and that is that God is in control.

With a mix of the "who's who" of christian hip-hop, "Ringleader" has been cleverly coined as the WOW of hip-hop. Truthfully you will find the best of the mainstream and underground hip-hop on "Ringleader." Most notable is a spin of "J Train" by Toby Mac and Kirk Franklin and a funky mix of the Grits' "Ooh Ah".

Popularity aside, "The Ringleader" is also a reflection of many years of hard work and experience. It is the Maj's best to date, and it's sure to be a explosive record breaker for him.
