Jessie Daniels is young lady from Long Island who, at an early age has discovered a love for music. Daniels' self-titled debut is edgy and mature sounding for such a young artist. Her sharp vocals draw a small comparison to the likes of Stacie Orrico, but her lyrics are more vibrant, and the attitude is more like Avril Lavigne.

Daniels has gained much attention in the media and the general public, including performing at Radio Disney, and sharing the stage with Sheryl Crow. Her personal testimony and openness in regards to her love of Christ, make her a shining light amongst the angst and trashiness of the general market. I believe Daniels blows the doors off of her counterparts without singing about so called relevant issues (boyfriend songs) and selling her sexuality. That's not to say there isn't some aspects of "image" involved here though, Daniels endorses makeup products and her own bio describes her as "adorably vivacious." These are minor infractions that don't detract from her message.

Most of all, Jessie Daniels rocks! This kind of energy and attitude is hard to find in the Christian market. Daniles' limited edition is hopefully only a glimpse of what's to come. The news is that Daniels is working on a full length CD to be released later this year.
