Nearly 60 minutes of heartfelt worship has been captured live on Evans' debut for the Spirit - Led label. Joining Evans on this CD are Paul Baloche, Charlie Hall, Kevin Prosch, Kate Miner, and Mike Weaver. There are 14 tracks on this CD and many of them are new originals penned by Evans himself. The highlights include "Consuming Fire," "Precious Jesus," (featuring Kelly Miner) and "Fields of Grace" (featuring Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave).
The live feel helps you to get a grasp on how the music reflects Evans' abilities as a worship leader. At the same time though, the uncommon (on a live album) pauses between songs break up the feeling; epically with the nearly 2 minute intro that just kind of fades away into nothing.
The worship songs included on "Consuming Fire" are more suited for the adult contemporary church audience. If you're not so picky to let the pauses bother you, then you won't miss out on an authentic worship experience.
