For more than ten years, Starling has been using his treasured vocals to back up artists such as Michael McDonald, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, and Nicole C. Mullen. His debut solo CD, "Inside Out," takes Starling from the supporting ranks forward to the spotlight. "Inside Out" runs the gambit of Gospel and R & B and focus' mainly on Starling's pleasing voice.

Starling's voice is certainly a selling point here, and probably his most recognized asset, but credit needs to be equally given in the song writing department as well. Starling writes from a personal perspective whether it's a song to his wife ("Somedays"), or a song to himself ("I Can Do This").

Ten years of grooming has well paid off for Starling and for Gospel fans alike.
