Children 18:3
Places I Don’t Want To Go
Independent

Starting out as a SKA band back in 1999, and after making a few lineup changes, Children 18:3 eventually morphed itself into the sibling punk rock band that it is today. The current lineup includes David (Jr), Lee Marie, and Seth Hostetter. If you’re a CCM Magazine reader (or even Newsweek magazine) you may remember hearing about this Minnesota family. They are quickly rising as a small town favorite as well as gaining national attention.

Now more punk-rock than ska, Children 18:3 have released a new EP, “Places I Don’t Want to Go.” According to their website, David does most of the writing and vocals. I don’t want to start any sibling rivalry, but Lee Marie does a fine job singing background vocals, but she’s even more impressive singing lead on “Bridge.” Listening to Lee Marie on “Bridge” is reminiscent of the Dakota Motor Company.

Overall, “Places I Don’t Want to Go” is a solid EP that represents the bands’ faith and commitment to making this family affair go as far as it can.
