New Breed consists of a brother – sister duo Macho and Elsie. “Nine” is their sophomore release as a duo. They also contribute to the Tunnel Rats family of rappers. Both Macho and Elsie work with youth in some manner, and that experience gives them the edge when it comes to understanding how to communicate with teens.

The track titles of “Nine” are transparent; “Love,” “Joy,” “Peace” and “Long Suffering” and the rest of the nine “fruits of the spirit” (Galatians 5:22). The emphasis on Christ-centered content and ministry is refreshing. Additionally the dueling male/female raps make the project fun to listen too.
