This worship leader from Costa Mesa, CA releases his debut record, penning nine of the eleven tracks. All the tracks are worship and praise with simple arrangements that are guitar and piano driven.

Proctor says, “Found is a record that marks the pursuit of everything we were created for. We live in a culture that continually recruits us to false identities. . .but as we worship God for whom He is, we also discover who we are in Him. My hope is that (my songs) continue to lead seeking hearts to find their place in Him.”

I love the lyrics for “Stir in Me.” “Stir in me a fire that the world cannot explain. . . ”. “Let It Rain” is not the same song found on Michael W. Smith’s Worship CD, but it wouldn’t be out of place, either.

“Victory” rocks and rhythmically reminds me of FFH’s “Big Fish” while “Show Us Who You Are” is contemplative. Crystal Lewis joins Todd on the track “In Pursuit,” but more as a background vocalist rather than a duet.

The disk ends with a pretty, but subdued, version of Tim Hughes’s “Here I Am to Worship.” While a great song, I don’t know that I need 10 different versions in my music collection.

The musical accompaniment, while not exceptional, is solid. Todd doesn’t display much of a range in his vocals, but as one who cannot carry a tune himself, I appreciate that. If we are meant to sing along to these songs, and we are, than give me something that I can sing along to, and Todd delivers.
