Let the Worshippers Arise

INO Records

48:47 TRT

This trio of pastors releases its 10 th record, the final installment of a worship-focused trilogy.

As PC&D seek to connect Christians with their Creator, “You Are God Alone (not a god)” and “Awake My Soul” may become new worship standards.

Give producer Nathan Nockels credit for tweaking this record's music in a few interesting directions beyond the trio's usual A/C sound. “Friend of God” is guitar driven. “In Christ Alone” opens with a sitar while “Mighty is the Power of the Cross” features a wonderful duet with Christy Nockels of Watermark. I hope that song makes the radio rounds.

However, at times there is a certain sameness in the use of the three singers. One of “the guys” sings alone on a couple of verses, joined by “the other two guys” on the chorus. “Friend of God,” “Because I'm Forgiven,” “Let the Worshippers Arise,” “My Redeemer Lives,” “Awake My Soul,” and “Wonderful Merciful Savior” all seem to follow along those lines.

With that comment aside, I did enjoy this record and would recommend it to those who enjoy worship music and PC&D.
