Kim Hill is a fairly well known vocalist who has fused country, pop, and gospel to form her signature sound. Kim has, in the past recorded a few holiday songs, but this is her first full length holiday release. On this recording Kim uses her characteristic vocals to inspire a warm organic feel that finds itself between a bluesy/classic-guitar driven sound and a more traditional hymn type sound.

Highlights on “Real Christmas” include a duet with Phil Keaggy on “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” and a new song co-written by Kim titled “Gift of Love.” Keaggy's addition of classic guitar and Kim's vocal character on “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” gives the song a Celtic sound that comes out sounding very cool. The album also includes Christmas classics like “Silent Night,” and “O Holy Night.”

“Real Christmas” would be the perfect CD to listen to as you cuddle up on the couch (after hours of setting up the tree) and reflect on the holiday season.
