Ginny’s latest project is a live recording from the House of Blues in New Orleans. The CD fairly represents an evening of enchantment that one would normally get at one of her concerts. The only thing it’s void of is conversation and interaction with the audience. So from that respect, it’s more like a greatest hits album than a live recording. The only song that gets an intro is “Call Me Beautiful”, and it makes me long for more personal insight on the rest of the song selection. Live From New Orleans includes two new songs, “Let Love Rule”, a Lenny Kravitz cover, and a new Owens original “Live Once”.
