Club J – Spin
Integrity Music

Spin is the second release from Integrity that has been developed for the “tweens” and early teens. Spin is a batch of uplifting songs set to a mix of hip-techno-club type music similarly featured on Radio Disney. There is a set of usual Club J musicians and vocalsts regularly performing on the series, but Spin also includes guest appearances by Kara Williams on “Falling On Me Now,” and “We Lift You Up,” along with an appearance by Lincoln Brewster on the title track “Spin,” which he wrote himself.

This is a very different spin on worship music and it is certainly high-tempo like club music is supposed to be. There are ten tracks that include youth group familiars like “Blessed Be Your Name,” “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” and “Trading My Sorrows.” Additionally, there are three club trax that your “tween” group can use for singing along.

This CD is a great idea, but it is not one that can be fully enjoyed by both parents and teens alike. I think that the fast paced techno worship would eventually wear down the most patient and understanding parent. I would be happy to provide Spin as an alternative to the pre-teens, but I would not want to be subjected to the ultra fast beats for an extended period of time myself.
