Christafari
Reggae Sunday School
Lion of Zion Entertainment

Mark Mohr, who has been producing the finest Christian reggae nearly 16 years as Christafari, is behind a whole new concept project called “Reggae Sunday School.” The idea of this album is to provide a quality children’s project that will be enjoyed by parents and children alike.

Through weaving reggae and Caribbean styles, Mohr’s first children’s project is a huge success. The album becomes a concept album as the interludes lead you from one song to the next, as well as leading you through a journey with characters like Nigel the Iguana, Calypso the Coconut, Manu the Mango, Seymour the Seagull, and Patchouli the Jellyfish.

Reggae Sunday School is unique musically, although Chirstafari has certainly reached mainstream commercial success, his reggae style is typically regional. There are many quest appearances on the album by other reggae artists which proves that the genre is much further reaching than most know about. Guests include Red Cloud, Richie Righteous, ‘Imisi, Avion Blackman, Jaibo Culture, Monty G, Ace Winn, and Solomon Jabby.

The album is both fun and uplifting. It holds over an hour of favorite Sunday school songs and comedic interludes. There are distinctive reggae versions of “What a Friend We Have In Jesus,” “Jesus Loves the Little Children,” and “Zacheaus,” as well as Christafari originals.
