Day of Fire It’s hard to believe that Josh Brown and company are on their second release already. The creativity and energy appears to be flowing effortlessly from Brown since his highly publicized transition from Full Devil Jacket to Day of Fire. As with the Day of Fire debut, hard rock guitars and hard-hitting vocals drive the musical content of “Cut & Move”. At times though it does feel like there is very little to distinguish the two albums from each other. With all that he has faced and gone through I’m not about to cut him down for resting on a working formula, however, I would like to see the band take it out over the edge as they grow as a band. “Cut & Run” is strong enough however, to garner Day of Fire further credibility and a few radio hits to boot. The future will surely hold more new and interesting songs that deliver a message of hope with a hard-rock-left-right punch. - Ken W. |
