Kids in the Way Apparitions of Melody: The Dead Letters Edition Flicker Records
Typically I am not a big fan of re-released or remixed albums, but in the case of Kids in the Way, “The Dead Letters Edition,” the band makes an honest effort to provide the buyer with enough new material to make the re-release just different enough to spend the extra money on.
The original album is very solid and all the scremo-headaches aside, their style of melody and scremo works well. Evidence of this is their new single “Fiction” which powerfully kicks of the new set. The second new track on the album is “Getting Over You, Getting Over Me.” The re-release also comes with a new DVD that has four music videos and some behind the scenes footage as well.
With all that it has to offer, I can not imagine why a fan would mind having a second copy with a few extras to make it all worth it.
