The Flame In All Of Us

Tooth & Nail Records

Grade – A

“Fall Apart” blew me away and every time I hear it I am further impressed.  This one song woke me up to a whole new experience.  Despite all of their accolades and hit songs from “Phenomenon,” I was practically oblivious to the band.  In my ignorance I did not expect to get so much meat with regards to songwriting.  A prime example is “What Do We Know,” a thought-provoking anthem.  That’s followed up by a fist-in-the-air rocker “New Drug,” that screams of worship.

It’s worth noting that the band recorded the backing tracks together in the studio.  It seems more common these days to record everything separately, taking away that cool in-the-studio vibe.  It had to be more fun to record as well and that could equally contribute to the high-energy that emanates from the album.

“The Flame In All of Us” is out mid-September so the wait is nearly over!
