            This CD and DVD are the result of a three-day worship conference, “Encounter 2006.”

            According to Pastor Cooley, “Every record I have made up until now has pretty much been a documentation of what God was doing at the moment.  We recorded a lot of the songs we were singing in our church.  We wanted to document the experience.”

            I really liked the Gospel-tinged “There’s A Lifting.”  The rollicking ”Your Throne” is another good track while “Look My Way” is a buoyant number suitable for corporate worship.  Many of the more contemplative tracks are fine, though lyrically typical for the genre.

            Some may prefer the DVD, sold separately, to witness some of the energy present.  There is also an “Encounter Worship 2.”
