Falling Up

Falling Up

Captiva

Tooth & Nail

Grade – B+

The latest from Falling Up is a fascinating mix of music and reflection.  I like the audio mix of the keyboards and melodious vocals.  Looking closer at the songs themselves. you begin to see the deep reflection I mentioned earlier.  I find that the writing goes beyond the surface and I admire the creativity.  At times it can also be a bit bizarre with golden archers and drago the dragon, but the underlying point of a faith in Christ is strongly portrayed on this album.  I guess the first thing that hooked me was the sound and the depth of it all had to be spoon fed to me through a song-by-song description.  I do not have the final version of the CD, so I can only hope that the lyrics are included.  Of course if they are not they can always be found on the web.

“Captiva” is a cool project with a lot of sweet hooks and a great message.  Check out the bands MySpace for more sounds and information.
