Singer-songwriter Sara Groves has over and over again proven that the singer/songwriter genre is still strong and viable.  Although the singer/songwriter is less likely to make the truncated radio rotations, between the web and touring the singer/songwriter is still an important part of Christian music.  We all have experiences, feelings, and emotions that parallel a Groves song. However, we do not all have the same ability to put those feelings to song as Sara Groves does. 

The principal lesson drawn from this album is that the world is much bigger than my own self.  Take for instance the song “Say a Prayer,” inspired by a young girl who was rescued from bondage from the International Justice Mission.  This song is inspired by something much bigger than what is going on around us in the US. 

“Tell Me What You Know” combines the best of Sara’s storytelling and popular delivery.  The album has already made a huge impact on iTunes where it reached No. 1 Christian Album for a few weeks.  Although it has dropped since, it still remains in the top 30 albums.
