Justin Unger’s “Disengage” is a reflection of his life-course and how his faith has been stretched and strengthened over the course so far.  A part of his life is his former involvement with the duo “Across the Sky.”  As a part of this duo Unger has already established himself as a formidable singer and writer.  Additionally, Unger’s course has led him to a home church where he now leads worship full-time. 

The accumulation of this journey has led to the inspirational solo debut, “Disengage.”  The CD is thirteen tracks long and Unger was involved in writing or co-writing on all songs.  The media materials indicate that the musical style is piano-driven with moments of edginess.  The edginess comes from Unger’s heightened vocals that peek with a resounding reverence for God.  A good example of this is “Everything,” a vertical worship tune that swells with emotion.   “Disengage” is an excellent new release and a fine start to a new solo career.
