After the Chase
Make Me New
Independent
Grade – B+

It has been nearly three years since I last reviewed a project by the After the Chase duet Nathan and Jenna Strong. Again, I find myself absorbed in the peacefulness of their personal style of worship. “Make Me New” is mostly acoustic however there are moments where the songs are laced with a guitar driven sound along with a decent amount of strings. This brings to the front the production of the album, which was done by Nate Sabin.

I have to admit that while both are excellent vocalist my favorites include two songs that Jenna takes the lead on and they are “In This Place” and “Second Chance.” Their title track again reminds me of Caedmon’s Call as I had noted in their first review back in 2004. Lastly, my favorite track is “We Wait.” “We Wait” represents an eager, humble, and fervent attitude of worship – waiting and worshiping God.
