From the underground scene, Syntax Records has brought together new up-and-coming artists for their jam packed forth installment of the Night Owls series.

For the Night Owls series, Syntax Records searches long and hard to find talented, yet relatively unknown, rap artists and complies their music into one album. This gives these up and coming artists a channel to get their music out.

I’m impressed with most of these artists. A lot of them have fresh beats that I have not heard before. Some artists use wind instruments, which is unusual for rap and hip-hop music. I feel some of these artists have a successful future in front of them.

The one thing I would like to hear more of in these songs is adoration. Some of the songs talk a little bit about God. However, none of them have God at the core of their message.

Some of my favorite songs are “We will Not Stop” by theBREAX, “Choose Your Battles” by Cal Logic, and “21 Jump Street” by RedCloud and DJ Wise.

I look forward to hearing more from these artists in the future.
