Jamie Jamgochian’s song “Hear My Worship” stayed at the top of the Inspo music charts for a record-breaking nine weeks. That’s quite an accomplishment for any artist, let alone one making her debut.

Now Jamie faces the challenge of producing her follow-up record. That’s a daunting challenge but Jamie succeeds.

Jamie says, “I felt like I wanted to get above the nosie. I wanted to get above radio singles and touring all the stuff that bombards me daily as a new artist. We all have crazy days. It takes time to be still. It takes time to set aside an hour to just listen to God-not just reading our Bibles and fervently praying-but just receiving his love. That’s the heart of [my new record].

Fans of Rebecca St. James should out this record.

“Sing of Our God” should be a single while “You Are the Story” is a very nice worship and praise song.

Jamie says, “Even in the songwriting process, I found myself asking ‘Is this a song that the church is going to gravitate to?’ I just had to let go and say, ‘This is where my heart’s at and these are the songs that are on my heart right now.’ I’m really trying to focus more on Jesus and what he’s calling me to say rather than whether the industry will accept this.”

“You Are the Lord” is simple while the piano-driven “For Your Glory” has an excellent change in tempo. “The Life I Live” is a perfect song for the end of the day.

“When I write a song,” she says, “I hope it translates corporately, but I also hope that someone in the car will turn on the radio and just have a moment.”
