“Expect the Impossible,” is the third album from Word pop-punk group Stellar Kart best widely for the hit “Me and Jesus.” This time around the band states that they are experimenting with the sound a bit by adding more of a pop-rock sound to their usual straight-out punk. The end result is a solid release with an upbeat soundtrack that is more accessible. What I really enjoy is the bands straight up message. For instance, the combination of the new sound and the straight up message of “Jesus Loves You” makes for a big hit on Christian radio.

With the majority of the pop-punk bands turning to a less frontal approach to song writing it is refreshing to see Stellar Kart primarily focus their attention on the Christian audience. They do this well and I think you will find “Expect the Impossible” will be a strong contender in the pop-punk genre.
