Right up front, the lead track, “Nothing But Sky,” addresses the personal difficulties Jaci has faced recently, including divorce. At a young age of 14, Jaci was signed to Myrrh Records putting her in the spotlight at a critical age which proves to be difficult for any young lady, let alone one who is in the eye of the public. When I think about it, I also think about others the industry has put in this same place. I know that there is a greater emphasis on mentoring and monitoring, but life on the road is still hard. The dangers of being in such a vulnerable place can be extreme.

Fortunately, Jaci's new album presents a favorable outcome with a reinvigorated faith and a new marriage to Salvador front man Nic Gonzoles. The marriage union carries itself into the recording, as Nic joins Jaci on the album. Other highligts include the latin flavored “Tango,” and “Por Escrito.” Jaci sounds as beautiful and commanding as ever, and the album is a welcomed reentry into the music scene.
